Interview

1/2

Kitsch and precious, antique and modern, good and bad taste. But always unique. That is the mix of Alexandre's selection.

He has its talent to found objects that provide emotions through their imperfections. In 2012, he founded Le Strict Maximum, a selection of objects and furnitures feed each week with new treasures.

If you start browsing his shop, you will probably spend the next 10 minutes buying antique African funeral head, vintage resin paperweight or ceramic sculptures.

But one thing is sure, you will never own these objects, you will just be part of their stories.

And good news, with the code LEBARDA15, you have a discount of 15% on all the collection.

Who are you?

I am Alexandre, nostalgic of a past that I did not know.

How can you explain your job to your mother?

I hunt objects that I find fun for other people, all around the earth

What is you favorite book to quote during a date?

"Paris au mois d'aout" by René Fallet. An intense love. A month to live it. Go!

Where do you feel the most creative?

At dawn, on a provincial flea market. Each time, it's a treasure hunt that begins. But the treasure is not always material and precious. Sometimes it's a meeting, a building hall, a bar frozen in time ...

What is usually your favorite month?

February. Usually it's a horrible month. But it's the last one before spring!

Which song do you ask to the DJ when you are drunk?

It never happens, but if it is the case, I'll ask Britney Spears' Toxic.

What is the oldest object that you have?

A small ceramic sculpture of Hans Hedberg has been following us for a few years.

What is your mood on Sunday evening?

Excited by the upcoming week! New movies, exhibitions, friends that I will see ...

When you pretend to be busy, what do you really do?

If I am in transport, I make stolen pictures to send to my friends with the mention "private joke"

What was your last surprise?

11 nuggets in a box of 10.

Which object make you nostalgic?

A small box that I found yesterday precisely. My grandfather used to put things there for economy and in the eventuality that they serve one day.

Write the first 10 words you have in mind?

Every thing will be fine, Every thing will be fine.

If you have to spend 1 month somewhere alone where do you go?

n a capital of a Mediterranean country that I do not know. I will come back fat but tanned.

What is your idea of happiness?

Never take the same path to go home.

What was the last thing that made you laugh on the internet?

I do not have the words to explain: Haul Noz

What is your favorite object ?

A sculptural lamp by Georges Pelletier. It diffuses the ideal light. Not too hot or too cold, like the soup in Goldilocks.
